Celebrating is about sharing, telling stories, talking. It's about eating a piece of cake that a friend made for you, having a glass of wine or savoring a cup of coffee. It's that unknown sensation that doesn't let you get up from the table after eating. It's much more than just placing silverware and plates on a table, it's creating an ambience, a style, a sensation, an unforgettable memory.

ROYAL WEDDING PREPARATIONS

How can I not talk about the royal wedding of Prince William & Catherine. If I was living in London when Diana married Princes Charles. I was a Fashion Design student when they were dating but at that time my interest was how the wedding dress designed by Elizabeth  Emanuel would look like. Nowadays my curiosity goes towards food and table preparation.

The Royal Wedding cake is designed by Fiona Cairns, It will be a traditional fruit cake decorated with flowers expressing the meaning of emotions in a coded way: by the language of flowers used in Victorian times.

The master of The Household's Department is at the kitchen in Buckingham Palace getting ready for the Royal Wedding. These are some of the samples of canapes prepared for the reception. The menu will probably be in French as they usually do in all the Royal Weddings.

My love for England started when I was a student living in Brighton with my family. Later I moved to London and studied Fashion Design and then moved back to Venezuela. Of course I still do love their cream teas, pubs, local markets, bakeries and even fish and chips. My memories are of the country side, little towns, the smell of rose gardens, Hyde Park and Knightsbridge where I had my first job in a Scottish store selling kilts and learning the tartan names just in front of Harrod's.
Would you like a cup of tea?
